Warranty Policy

1. Introduction
TimberPanda (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to delivering high‑quality solid‑wood furniture that stands the test of time. This Warranty Policy (“Policy”) sets out the terms and conditions under which we provide warranty coverage for products purchased through our website (www.timberpanda.com) or authorized distributors. By purchasing a TimberPanda product, you (“Customer”, “you”, “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy.
2. Definitions

Meaning: Any solid‑wood furniture item sold by TimberPanda, including but not limited to tables, chairs, cabinets, beds, and accessories.

Term: Purchase Date

Meaning: The date the order is confirmed and payment is received, as shown on the order confirmation email.

Term: Warranty Period

Meaning: The length of time during which warranty coverage applies, measured from the Purchase Date.

Term: Defect

Meaning: A material or workmanship flaw that prevents the Product from functioning as intended under normal use, as determined by TimberPanda’s inspection.

Term: Normal Use

Meaning: Use of the Product in accordance with the care instructions provided with the Product and for its intended residential or light‑commercial purpose.

Term: Claim

Meaning: A formal request submitted by the Customer to obtain warranty service (repair, replacement, or refund).

Term: Authorized Service Provider

Meaning: A TimberPanda‑approved technician or repair facility contracted to perform warranty work.
3. Warranty Coverage
TimberPanda warrants that each Product is free from defects in materials and workmanship under Normal Use for the applicable Warranty Period listed below. If a Defect arises during the Warranty Period, TimberPanda will, at its sole discretion, either:

Repair the Product (including parts and labor);

Replace the Product with a new or refurbished item of equal or greater specification; or

Refund the purchase price (less a reasonable deduction for use, if applicable).
The remedy selected by TimberPanda will be the one that most efficiently resolves the Defect while minimizing inconvenience to the Customer.

Note: Warranty periods begin on the Purchase Date and are not transferable unless expressly stated in writing by TimberPanda.
5. What Is Covered
The warranty covers Defects that result from:

Faulty wood joinery, glue failure, or structural cracking not caused by misuse.

Finish imperfections (e.g., peeling, blushing, or uneven staining) that appear under normal indoor conditions.

Malfunction of hardware or moving parts due to manufacturing error.
-
Structural weakness in legs, frames, or support members that compromises stability under normal load.
6. What Is Not Covered (Exclusions)
The warranty does not cover:

Normal Wear and Tear – gradual changes in appearance such as slight color shift, minor scratches, dents, or surface patina that occur with everyday use.

Improper Assembly or Installation – damage resulting from failure to follow the supplied assembly instructions or use of unauthorized hardware.

Misuse, Abuse, or Neglect – including but not limited to:

Overloading beyond the specified weight capacity.
-
Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight, or outdoor elements (unless the Product is explicitly rated for outdoor use).

Use of harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents not recommended in the care guide.
-
Accidental impact, pet damage, or acts of vandalism.

Modifications or Alterations – any changes made to the Product after purchase (e.g., painting, staining, drilling, re‑upholstering) without TimberPanda’s prior written consent.

Third‑Party Repairs – service performed by unauthorized persons or entities.
-
Acts of God – damage caused by fire, flood, earthquake, lightning, or other natural disasters.
-
Commercial Use Beyond Light‑Commercial Scope – unless the Product is specifically marketed and sold for heavy‑duty commercial environments.

Consequential or Indirect Damages – loss of profit, loss of use, inconvenience, or any other indirect losses arising from a Defect.
7. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Full name and contact details.

Order number and Purchase Date.

Detailed description of the Defect, including photographs (clear, well‑lit images showing the issue from multiple angles).

Copy of the original purchase receipt or order confirmation.

Initial Assessment – TimberPanda will review the submitted information and may request additional details or request that the Product be returned for inspection.

Return Authorization – If a return is required, TimberPanda will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and provide a prepaid shipping label (for US customers) or instructions for arranging shipment at the Customer’s expense (for international customers, see Section 8).

Inspection & Determination – Upon receipt, TimberPanda’s quality team will inspect the Product to confirm whether the issue qualifies as a Defect under this Policy.

Resolution – If the claim is approved, TimberPanda will proceed with the selected remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) and ship the resolved item back to the Customer.

Timeline – TimberPanda aims to complete the warranty process within 15 business days of receiving the returned Product, excluding weekends and holidays. Delays may occur due to parts availability or customs processing for international shipments.
8. Shipping & Handling

Situation: Defect confirmed (US Customer)

Who Pays Shipping? TimberPanda covers both outbound and return shipping via standard ground service. Expedited shipping is available at the Customer’s expense.

Situation: Defect confirmed (International Customer)
-
Who Pays Shipping? TimberPanda covers the cost of shipping the repaired/replacement Product to the Customer. The Customer is responsible for shipping the defective Product to TimberPanda (including customs duties, taxes, and any import/export fees). TimberPanda will provide a commercial invoice and HS code to facilitate customs clearance.

Situation: Claim denied or not covered

Who Pays Shipping? Customer bears all shipping costs for both directions.

Situation: Expedited service requested by Customer

Who Pays Shipping? Customer pays the difference between standard and expedited rates.
All shipped items must be packed securely to prevent further damage during transit. TimberPanda is not liable for damage incurred during return shipment if the Product is inadequately packaged.
9. Limitations of Liability

TimberPanda’s total liability for any claim under this Warranty Policy shall not exceed the original purchase price of the defective Product.

TimberPanda shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of profits, or personal injury, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

The remedies set forth in this Policy are the Customer’s exclusive remedies for any Defect.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be submitted to the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and the Customer hereby consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
11. Changes to This Policy
TimberPanda reserves the right to modify or update this Warranty Policy at any time. The most current version will always be posted on our website at www.timberpanda.com/warranty-policy. Continued use of TimberPanda products after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
